Ipoh appeals to many expatriates

Kathleen Peddicord's article  have been drawing in many news website to write about Ipoh. Here's one that tells us exactly what tricks Ipoh has that attracts in many expats.

Don't be fooled by the "slow" and "sleepy" city, Ipoh has been well developed with a population more than 600,000. Now, even honoured to be placed 3rd on the list - 9 most affordable places to retire in the world in one of Peddicord's article.

Two expatriates shared their thoughts and opinions of Ipoh , who calls them their home.
An Australian, Datuk Richard Small, 67, said " Ipoh has many things that made the city an ideal place to live, work, and to retire." and " the price, quality and variety of food  added to his joy of living in here." along with many more good reviews on Ipoh.

The other expat, a retired navy commander, Ian Anderson, 75, agreed that Ipoh has a lower cost of living. That became one of the major reasons for both his wife (a local) and him to live here. Anderson even wrote a piece about Ipoh - My Hometown, explaining that living in Ipoh has its perks for an expatriate like him. He also suggested that the state government and Ipoh City Council must avoid building high-rise buildings in the town centre, as it made Ipoh different and interesting, catching the attentions of many expats and tourists.

It appears that Ipoh was stated to be  an increasingly popular retirement haven, said Live and Invest Overseas publishing group founder- Kathleen Peddicord's article in money.usnews.com.

Ipoh was ranked 3rd best place to retire after Thailand and Vietnam, along more with 9 more other places in the world.
